"Lots of ripe black cherry, plum, and cassis fruit as well as classy oak, vanilla, and floral notes emerge from the 2018 Château Caronnes Ste Gemme. This rich, medium to full-bodied Haut-Médoc packs loads of fruit and has a deep, layered mid-palate and ripe tannins, all making for a superb 2018 that can be drunk today or cellared for 8-10 years."

"The nose is fresh, racy and offers a slight intensity. It reveals notes of fresh blackberry, fresh strawberry and notes of small berries associated with touches of lily as well as fine hints of licorice stick, violet as well as a discreet hint of tea and pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis, raspberry and notes of small red berries associated with touches of rose, violet as well as hints of licorice stick, tea and hazelnut. Good length. A very fine chew and an imperceptible hint of good bitterness on the finish."
